GLOBAL KIDS ACADEMY NEWS LETTER

Dear Parents,
  • DIRECTOR OF STUDIES END OF TERM NEWS LETTER TO PARENTS

INTRODUCTION: I am very delighted today and grateful to God almighty for bringing us successfully to the end of another fruitful and glorious term in the 2017/2018 academic session.

I, on behalf of the management of the school, appreciate all parents and staff for painstakingly ensuring the success of the term. May God bless you all. Please acquaint yourself with the following:-
1. VACATION AND RESUMPTION:- School vacates for the end of first term 2017/2018 session today 15th December, 2017 and school will resume for 2nd term on 8th January, 2018 God willing. Parents are hereby enjoined to ensure that their children resume school on resumption day. Rigorous academic work commences same day.
2. SETTLEMENT OF OUTSTANDING FEES:- Parents whose children’s fees are still outstanding are encouraged to ensure that the fees are settled before resumption for 2nd term. Pupils/students whose first term outstanding fees are not fully settled by resumption day will not be admitted into their classes. In other words, ONLY pupils/students whose first term fees are paid fully will be allowed in school as from the first day of resumption.
3 PAYMENT OF 2ND TERM FEE:- Parents are again reminded of the need for early payment of their children’s school fees on or before first day of resumption. As our usual practice, we call on parents to make all effort to pay up their children’s fees early before school resumes for 2nd term so as to facilitate smooth and uninterrupted learning process during the term. We believe that prompt payment of school fees enhances students’ self esteem and focus to scholarship. We therefore call on all parents to endeavour to settle their children’s fees on or before school resumes for 2nd term to avoid occasional embarrassment emanating from non- payment of fees early.
4. LATENESS TO SCHOOL:- The rate of pupils/students lateness to school has become so alarming that the school is NOW compelled to enforce a NO LATENESS rule in a bid to curb excessive lateness to school every morning. Pupils and students who come to school after 8am will henceforth be SEVERELY PUNISHED right from the school gate. School gate will henceforth be closed at exactly 10 minutes past 8 every morning. Parents should endeavour to ensure that their children get to school earlier than this time to avoid punishments.
5. NEATNESS (DRESSING TO SCHOOL):- Even though the school rule book (handbook) clearly prescribe specific pattern of uniform for students, it is however very unfortunate that some parents do not care to check how their children flaunt school rules in their dressing. We have observed with dismay the rate at which both male and female students pencil shape their trousers against school rule and despite our effort to curb this menace, some students are still adamant. School will henceforth summon parents of such students to school in a bid to enforce strict compliance.
6. HOLIDAY HOMEWORK:- Students/Pupils in all classes are required to take home a pack of holiday home work which shall form 10marks of their C.A for 2nd term. Parents are therefore advised to ensure that their children take this homework seriously and supervise their safe keeping and submission at resumption. Pupils/students who fail to do the homework and submit same at resumption will lose 10 marks and stand no chance of ANY FORM OF MAKE-UP TEST afterwards.
7. SS3/JSS3 STUDENTS ONLY:- Parents are to take note of the following schedule for all SS3 and JSS 3 students:
i. All students who fail to meet up with the deadline for the payment of WAEC/NECO & BECE Registration fee will not be registered to sit for the Exams next term. Deadline was given for 15th December, 2017 which is today.
ii. All registered students will be expected to take (3) three mock examinations. Parents are therefore advised to ensure that their children take out time to study hard during the holiday.

iii. Please note that SS3/JSS3 students who fail to pay all mandatory fees will not be allowed to participate in any of these mock examinations.
